In luxury weddings, it’s often the most personal details that leave the biggest impression. Not because they’re extravagant, but because they’re chosen with care. Katherine’s bridal gown is one of those details; it was a piece that reflected her thoughtful approach to her wedding day.
As a luxury California wedding photographer, these are the stories we’re always watching for: the meaningful traditions and the moments that feel deeply true to the couple.

Finding The Dress, Even When It No Longer Exists
Katherine first saved her dress years ago on Pinterest. Long before fittings and final decisions, it stood out to her and never quite left her mind. Even after trying on more than 60 wedding dresses, nothing compared to that original gown.
There was just one issue: the dress had been discontinued around 2020.
She contacted over 50 bridal salons, hoping one might still have the dress tucked away. She was open to anything, a sample, a floor model, even one that needed serious love. At that point, it wasn’t about perfection. It was about finding the dress.
Eventually, she received unexpected news: the gown could be custom remade by the Allison Webb team. The catch? She would have to order it without ever trying it on.
Five months later, the dress arrived and it was better than she could ever imagine!

A Veil That Carries Generations and Something Blue Styled With Intention
Katherine’s bridal look didn’t stop with the gown.
Her veil included lace from her grandmother’s wedding dress. This was a family tradition passed down through every generation. Her grandmother, mother, and aunt all wore that same lace on their wedding days, each time reimagined into a new veil. On Katherine’s wedding day, the tradition continued.
Katherine completed her look with blue heels! This fresh, confident take on “something blue” was subtle, elevated, and entirely her.

Why These Details Matter
Weddings aren’t just about how things look, they’re about how they feel. The dresses you search for. The traditions you keep. The details you choose because they mean something to you. As a luxury California wedding photographer, our goal is to document these moments honestly.

Until Next Time,
xx
